When Rolex switched from radium to tritium for the luminous marking on the dial, this is indicated by a underline. These dials can only be found between 1963 to 1964 and should be designated ‘Swiss’ at the bottom and should be finished in black lacquer. The present example, manufactured in 1964, features all of these attributes including the sought after pointed crown guards. Overall the watch is in great condition with very sharp case, beveled edges and charismatic dial.
